Developments in CBRN risks and threats

Weapons of Mass Destruction, or Nuclear, Radiological, Biological and Chemical (NRBC) weapons, which emerged during the 20th century, were particularly developed during the Cold War period, and took off at an absolutely remarkable rate in the 1970s and 1980s, without stirring public opinion, which was far from imagining that they could brutally eradicate all life on the planet...

These weapons exacerbate multiple dangers, with polymorphous threats that the world is already facing.

These weapons, available to states and extremists alike, now form part of a spectrum of destruction whose means are becoming increasingly diversified, and represent an almost permanent threat both to combatants deployed in theaters of operation and to civilian populations, who will certainly be the first victims.
